In the renewed Bawku conflict at Sabongari in the Upper East Region, three additional individuals have been reported dead, according to recent updates.
The killings occurred on the previous evening, with reports suggesting that the victims were among a group of young men apprehended by armed soldiers during an operation in response to the renewed hostilities.
The conflict had previously resulted in injuries and the death of a 64-year-old individual.
It is alleged that the young men were transported to an undisclosed location, where they were subjected to torture and subsequently killed by the soldiers.
Mahama Ayariga, the Member of Parliament for Bawku Central, confirmed the killings in an interview with Accra-based JoyNews on Friday morning.
