The Ashanti Youth Association in the Ashanti region has issued a ban on the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Boasiako, widely known as Chairman Wuntumi, from visiting Manhyia.

In a press conference held today, the group stated that they no longer wish to have any association with Chairman Wuntumi and, therefore, he is prohibited from setting foot at the Manhyia Palace.

The decision to ban Chairman Wuntumi comes in response to comments he made that the group deems highly insulting to the Ashanti kingdom and Otumfour.

The group expressed their disapproval of Chairman Wuntumi’s statements, leading to the decision to sever ties and bar his access to the Manhyia Palace.
