2024 General Elections: Men of God Urged To Desist From Fear and Panic Prophecies- Reverend Dr Abukari Yakubu.

The General overseer of the Fellowship of Good News Bible Church Reverend Dr Abukari Yakubu has cautioned Ghanaian men of God to measure in their prophetic utterances ahead of the 7th December general elections.

He urged religious leaders to ensure their Prophecies do not injure the rights of others and the public interest.

According to him, fake Prophecies do not promote the kingdom of God but rather bring chaos and destabilize the country.

Reverend Dr. Abukari Yakubu was speaking to the media when Fellowship of Good News Bible Church held its annual pastor’s and Leaders conference in Asokore Mampong municipality of the Ashanti region under the theme” Building a healthy church amid a crooked generation (Philippians 2:14-15 & Acts 2:40-42).

Reverend Dr Abukari Yakubu also cautioned clergy not to engage in partisan politics.

He called them to remain resolute in propagating the gospel and serve the purpose of God rather than engaging in utterances that undermine and distort the peace and stability of the nation.

Reverend Abukari Yakubu said in recent times, the Church has over-concentrated on worldly materials which has led to a decline in soul-winning.

Touching on the Police directive against misleading prophecies, Rev Dr. Yakubu said there would have been no need for such an action if all Ministers of the Gospel acted under the teachings of God.

He also called on men of God not to commercialize the gospel and to let the knowledge of God discern from their hearts.

He said the three-day conference seeks to equip the Pastors with the requisite knowledge in their Ministries.

“When you are in the Ministry, things change over time and you need to know the root cause of issues affecting humanity, especially those in remote places. So when the ministers gather, we seek solutions on how to navigate through the crises and also revamp the Ministers in the discharge of their duties”, Reverend Dr Abukari Yakubu stated.

“As a Prophet, there’s no need to be affiliated to a particular political party. Such acts are not the ways of God. Prophets must act according to the scripture and no passage in the Bible says prophets be affiliated to a political party”

An induction ceremony was conducted for the New Executives of the Church as well as the launch of a book meant to guide the Ministers of the Gospel.

He charged the new executives to discharge their duties with utmost diligence and God’s fear.
