DESIST FROM CALLING ELDERLY PEOPLE AT HOME WITCHES AND WIZARDS.- KWAHU TAFO CHIEF ADVISES

Aged in Kwahu Tafo and its environs has commended and showered blessings on their chief for donating gifts aimed at putting smiles on their faces to enhance their welfare.

In the Spirit of the Giving Season, the Chief of Kwahu Tafo Nana Opoku Mintah ll, who has repeatedly with this gesture for the past years, noted that it is incumbent on everybody to extend whatever they have to the needy and those who find it difficult to fend for themselves, stressing, the gesture is to help in alleviating the suffering and hardship of some elderly in society, which is the core objective of gladden the aged and people living with Disabilities Hearts so that they would enjoy the love and give attention to their voices, experiences and get them the critical support needed.

Nana Opoku Mintah ll, during the presentation, used the occasion to appeal to PRESIDENT to SIGN the BILL recently PASSED by the Parliament into LAW” that may prevent and defend any wrong accusation on ELDERLY people as “WITCHES and WIZARDS” in the Country to enhance protection on innocent people especially the aged, stressing, he is of the view that the Law has not been signed by the first Gentleman of the Land till now, so, therefore, used the opportunity to appeal to “President Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo Addo,” to sign the BILL for the Law to be officially Pass.

Moreover, about 600 Aged and people living with Disabilities in the Community of Kwahu Tafo and its environs receive a lot of items that include, fowl, rice, and oil, among others.

In furtherance of his speech, he encouraged the youth to work hard in achieving something better for themselves, rather than apportion blame on the innocent old age people at home and entreated the youth to desist from calling elderly Witches and Wizards, but support their well-being to enable them to overcome their challenges to acquired their blessings.

In an interview with those who benefited from the donation emphasized that, constantly Nana Opoku Mintah ll, during every giving season, donates to put a smile on their faces, so therefore showers praises on him for the laudable initiative describing him as a cheerful giver by asking God to replenish whatever spent on them.
