Ghanaian police have warned pastors about false prophecies that will cause fear and panic as 2023 comes to an end.

The Ghana Police Service has released a communiqué signed by the Deputy Commissioner of Police  Public Relations Directorate, Grace AnsahAkrofi, urging all religious leaders to avoid creating fear and panic in the country with their prophecies as we approach the end of 2023.

The press release made it clear that everyone is free to worship, but care must be taken not to cause panic by the prophecies that appear after the service.

This is the second time the Ghana Police Force has done something like this.

Although there have been false prophecies by certain religious leaders in recent years that have caused panic, the current leadership of the police force is under the direction of the Inspector General of Police, Dr. George Akuffo Dampare put an end to it.

Last year, in 2022, the IGP asked all religious leaders to speak only about what is good for public consumption and nothing else.

They all persevered and everything went well, so he does the same thing again to avoid the cause of fear due to the terrible prophecy.
