Ghana Gas has given its approval for the installation of a FIFA-standardized AstroTurf in Dormaa East. A brief ceremony to mark the commencement of the project took place at Wamfie in the Dormaa East District of the Bono Region.
Paul Appraku Twum-Barima, the Member of Parliament (MP) for the area, who advocated for the realization of this project, expressed his relentless efforts in ensuring its implementation.
He shared his commitment during a ceremony to cut the sod for the project.
Nana Owusu Ansah Ababio, a Board Member of Ghana Gas, representing the CEO, commended the MP for his continuous efforts in bringing the project to fruition.
He acknowledged the MP’s perseverance and encouraged other Members of Parliament across the country to emulate such dedication.
The contractor, Mr. Klass Peters of Landwind Enterprise, assured the community that he would complete the project within six months.
He also pledged to involve a significant number of local residents in the construction process, demonstrating his commitment to engaging the community in the development initiative.
