Takoradi Technical University achieved a commendable feat in inclusive Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) by graduating 24 disabled individuals at its 23rd Congregation.
The graduation marked a significant step in bridging the gap between able and disabled individuals in accessing higher TVET education.
During the congregation, where a total of 6,166 students successfully graduated for the 2022/2023 Academic Year, the Vice-Chancellor of TTU, Rev. Prof. John Frank Eshun, highlighted the university’s commitment to inclusive education.
He emphasized the importance of sustaining the Disability Support unit and called for additional funding support to enable more disabled individuals to access TVET education at the highest level.
As part of the university’s efforts to expand program options, the Vice-Chancellor announced that Takoradi Technical University has received accreditation for six new Master of Technology programs, further enhancing its offerings in the field of technology and vocational education.
