Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the Energy Minister, emphasized the crucial role of the Ashanti Regional youth wing of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the party’s quest to ‘break the 8’ (win a third consecutive term) in the upcoming elections.
He spoke at the Mega Ashanti Regional Youth Conference held at the Prempeh Assembly Hall.
During the conference, Dr. Prempeh highlighted the achievements of the government despite facing challenges posed by global shocks.
He urged the NPP youth to take pride in the accomplishments of the government and play a leading role in exposing any deficiencies in the promises made by the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) and its leader, John Mahama.
