Johnson Asiedu Nketia, the National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has urged the National Peace Council to ensure the resolution of issues that led to the NDC’s boycott of Inter Party Advisory Committee (IPAC) meetings with the Electoral Commission (EC).

The NDC had abstained from IPAC meetings since March 2021 but recently rejoined following the intervention of the National Peace Council.

During a stakeholders meeting on inter-party dialogue organized by the National Peace Council in Peduase, Eastern Region, Mr. Asiedu Nketia announced the NDC’s decision to return to IPAC.

However, he emphasized that the NDC’s re-engagement is contingent on IPAC maintaining its consensus-oriented approach, where decisions are made considering the perspectives of all parties for the benefit of Ghana.
