President Nana Akufo-Addo has expressed a strong indication that a substantial number of the Agenda 111 hospital projects are scheduled for commissioning in 2024, marking the final year of his administration.
During the median Physicians and Surgeons Awards, the President emphasized his vision to position Ghana as the center of excellent medical care in West Africa by 2030.
President Akufo-Addo highlighted ongoing construction activities, including 86 district hospitals, two regional psychiatric hospitals, and the Western Regional Hospital.
These projects, according to him, are currently at various stages of completion.
The Agenda 111 initiative, also known as the Ghana Health Infrastructure Project, was launched to address healthcare infrastructure gaps across the country.
In addition to the construction of new healthcare facilities, President Akufo-Addo outlined his broader vision of positioning Ghana as a center of excellence in medical care for West Africa by the year 2030.
