Mobile Money vendor commits suicide in Awutu Bawjiase over alleged debt of GHC15,000

In a tragic incident, a 30-year-old mobile money vendor named Francis Larbie has reportedly taken his own life by hanging in Awutu Bawjiase, situated in the Awutu Senya West District of the Central region.

The alleged reason behind this devastating act is said to be a debt of 15,000 Ghana cedis.

Sources reveal that the vendor fell victim to an unidentified individual who defrauded him of the mentioned amount sometime last week.

Compounding the situation, the owner of the mobile money shop, where Larbie worked, held him accountable for the debt, intensifying his despair and ultimately leading him to take his own life as he saw no hope.
