Despite facing criticism, particularly from the Minority in Parliament, for the decision to demolish the structure, the Finance Minister emphasized progress in the 2024 budget presented to Parliament.
He highlighted that contractors have commenced work on the site, signaling a proactive approach to address concerns.
During his visit to the project site, Minister Ofori-Atta reassured the contractors of timely payment, demonstrating the government’s commitment to facilitating the swift and successful completion of the La General Hospital reconstruction.
