The Frank Yeboah Foundation, a non-governmental organization established by Mr. Frank Yeboah, has undertaken the construction of a footbridge to benefit four communities in the Atwima Nwabiagya Constituency.
The communities served by the footbridge are Akropong, Aboaboso, Siripiso, and Koforidua New Site.
Mr. Frank Yeboah explained that the purpose of the footbridge is to assist school children in crossing the Aboaboso River, especially during rainy weather.
Community members shared that, previously, school children faced challenges attending school during the rainy season, having to stay home or go through the ordeal of crossing the river barefoot.
The footbridge connects Akropong and Koforidua (Aboaboso), towns situated approximately 18.7 kilometers (33 minutes drive) away from the Ashanti Regional capital, Kumasi.
The official commissioning of the footbridge was conducted by the Akropong traditional council.
During the day, Mr. Frank Yeboah visited the Akroponghene Palace to express his intention to contest in the upcoming NPP parliamentary primaries, seeking the prayers of the elders.
Additionally, he donated street lights to the Taabre community to enhance security.
Speaking at the footbridge commissioning, Mr. Frank Yeboah emphasized the importance of the bridge in facilitating unimpeded access to education for school children. He also highlighted his foundation’s support for education and apprenticeships in the constituency.
Nana Opoku Antwi Apomasu, the Baamuhene of Akropong, and some residents, on behalf of the Akropong Traditional Council, expressed gratitude to Mr. Frank Yeboah for the footbridge, acknowledging its significant contribution to the economic activities of the people in the area
