Concerns rise as Tano South Municipality grapples with surge in HIV/AIDS cases

The Assembly Members in the Tano South Municipality of the Ahafo Region express concern about the rising cases of HIV/AIDS in their jurisdiction.

According to data from the Ghana Health Service, there is a notable increase in the number of HIV/AIDS cases, prompting a call for individuals to take precautions to avoid infection.

In response to this situation, there is an appeal for collective action, urging individuals and stakeholders to play their part in reducing the incidence of HIV/AIDS in the Municipality.

This information was shared by some assembly members during their recent Assembly Meeting held over the weekend.

During the meeting, Assemblyman Michael Mensah, who also serves as the NDC Constituency Youth Organizer for Bechem Adum Electoral Area, emphasized the importance of continued public education and the distribution of condoms by the Ministry of Health, Ghana Health Service, and Ghana AIDS Commission.

He specifically highlighted the need for these efforts to target various areas in the country, with a particular focus on the youth.
