Professor Peter Twumasi, the Director General for the National Sports Authority and aspiring NPP Parliamentary Candidate in Ahafo Ano South West Constituency, toured the Inter-Schools Public Game Competition, expressing his commitment to attracting the best students and players from the constituency.

During the competition, he urged contestants to leverage the platform to positively influence and change lives.

Professor Twumasi commended the formation of youth groups participating in games and emphasized the importance of encouraging such initiatives that promote citizen participation in sports.

Speaking at the event, Professor Twumasi highlighted the significance of parents investing in their children’s involvement in sports, emphasizing the potential for a future in sporting activities.

He expressed his determination to promote sports in the area, noting that some individuals are making a living through sports.

Professor Twumasi also announced plans for the installation of Astro parks in the Ahafo Ano South West constituency, providing enhanced facilities for sports enthusiasts.

As part of his support, he donated footballs, handballs, netballs, and jerseys to around 20 schools and distributed additional sports equipment to 10 zones for use in Zonal games within the constituency.

Furthermore, he pledged 10 trophies and cash prizes for the winning teams in all 10 centers.
