The Overlord of Dagbon, Ya-Na, has offered advice to Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia, encouraging him to view his opponent, John Dramani Mahama, as a brother rather than an enemy in the upcoming election.

This counsel was given during a courtesy visit by Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as part of his “Thank You tour.”

Ya-Na emphasized the significance of conducting a clean and respectful campaign leading up to the 2024 general elections.

He underscored that both the NPP and NDC flagbearers are considered his sons, and regardless of the election outcome, it would be a victory for all Northerners.

Taking the opportunity to address Vice President Bawumia directly, Ya-Na urged him not to be swayed by his campaign team, emphasizing that their role is to translate his thoughts and ideals into action rather than the other way around.

Additionally, he pleaded with Vice President Bawumia to prioritize a campaign that maintains a high standard of cleanliness and integrity in the lead-up to the 2024 elections.
