Minority MPs criticize 2024 Budget as lacking substance

During the debate on the budget and economic policy, some members of the minority expressed the view that the budget lacks substance and fails to present anything new for the benefit of Ghanaians.

According to these minority MPs, nearly all economic indicators are indicating negative trends, causing significant concern.

The minority members are calling for the government to adopt practical measures to address the challenges confronting the economy.

Isaac Adongo, Bolga Central MP and Ranking Member on the Finance Committee, specifically highlighted the alarming inflation figures, expressing the view that the government appears indifferent to this concerning economic indicator.

John Abu Jinapor, the MP for Yapei Kusawgu, asserted that the mismanagement of the economy has resulted in an increase in unemployment.

These minority MPs are critical of the current economic situation and are urging the government to implement effective strategies to overcome the challenges.
