The National Democratic Congress’ Flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, has characterized President Akufo-Addo as a vindictive and autocratic leader who is opposed to the expression of free speech.

Speaking to Chiefs and residents in the Ahafo Region as part of his Building Ghana Tour, former President Mahama claimed that teachers and headmasters feel reluctant to raise concerns about various issues in their schools, fearing victimization or dismissal.

Mahama highlighted the complex relationship between falsehoods and the truth in his address, emphasizing that although lies may initially gain traction, the truth ultimately prevails in any democratic society.

Reflecting on his own presidency, he underscored a policy that promoted open dialogue, enabling headmasters and teachers to voice their concerns when issues arose in schools.
