Mr. Stephen Agbalenyo, the Vice Chairman for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Manso Adubia constituency of the Ashanti Region, has urged the Office of the Special Prosecutor to conduct an urgent investigation into the source of funds used by Dr. Alhaji Bawumia to pay delegates during the November 4th presidential primaries.

Agbalenyo drew attention to a similar investigation conducted on former President John Dramani Mahama when funds, ostensibly provided for transportation, were considered inducements and labeled as bribes by the Special Prosecutor.

The former president faced scrutiny as the provision for transportation is typically the responsibility of the party, not an individual.

Chairman Agbalenyo Stephen not only called for an investigation but also expressed his belief that Dr. Alhaji Bawumia should retire from politics, asserting that he has nothing beneficial to offer Ghanaians.

He went further to encourage Ghanaians to vote massively for former President John Dramani Mahama in the upcoming 2024 elections, believing that a change in leadership is essential for the country’s future.
