ECG to launch ‘Operation Fix the Bill & Pay the Bill’ initiative to enhance billing accuracy and customer trust

The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) is set to launch an initiative named ‘Operation Fix the Bill & Pay the Bill’ starting from Monday, November 6, to Monday, December 11, 2023, within its operational regions.

The primary goal of this endeavor is to record accurate consumption readings from ECG’s customers, thereby enabling the company to produce precise bills and also to validate the accuracy of meter readings.

The key objectives are to foster customer trust in the billing system, gather outstanding payments from customers, and streamline billing processes.

During this period, ECG’s regional and district offices will operate with a reduced staff to allow top management and employees to actively participate in the exercise.

Ing. Bismark Otu, the Accra East Regional General Manager of ECG, highlighted the importance of collaboration with customers and the general public.

He emphasized that ECG holds full access to all its installations in accordance with the Public Utilities Regulatory Commission’s LI (2413).

The objective of this initiative is to enhance billing accuracy, instill customer confidence, and recover unpaid bills.
