Apostle John Oliver Nipah, the Area Apostle of The Lords Pentecostal Church International at the Batsona Branch, has expressed that the concept of President Nana Addo constructing a national cathedral is not inherently negative or sinful.
However, he emphasizes the importance of transparency in the allocation of funds for the project.
The construction of the national cathedral has faced opposition from some quarters, with individuals questioning whether this is the most pressing need for the country at this time.
Furthermore, allegations of corruption have cast a shadow over the project, resulting in the resignation of several board members, many of whom are pastors.
Apostle John Oliver Nipah believes that it is vital for those responsible for the project to provide clear information about the sources of funding and the procurement processes involved.
In addition, Apostle John Oliver Nipah urged politicians, from both the ruling and opposition parties, to adhere to the law and avoid actions that could lead to turmoil in Ghana as the 2024 elections approach.
He conveyed this message during a media engagement related to the church’s annual “Pray Until Something Happens” (PUSH) program, which is scheduled to take place from the 12th to the 15th of November at the Spintex Batsona branch.
