Hackman Owusu-Agyemang advises NPP members to prioritize shared goals over personal ambitions

Hackman Owusu-Agyemang, the Chairman of the Council of Elders of the New Patriotic Party, has expressed deep concern about the current state of affairs within the party as it approaches the presidential primary scheduled for Saturday.

In his opening address before the Council of Elders’ meeting at the Alisa Hotel, Mr. Owusu Agyemang candidly voiced his apprehensions that the pursuit of personal interests may be overshadowing the shared party goals.

The NPP is set to choose its flagbearer for the 2024 elections on Saturday, November 4, with four prominent party members competing for the position.

Hackman Owusu-Agyemang lamented that selfish interests seem to be taking precedence over the party’s overarching aim.

He stressed the importance of party members keeping in mind the bigger objective of “breaking the Eight,” a reference to the party’s goal to win a third consecutive term in office.

He urged party members to focus on the principles and values that have guided the NPP over the years rather than allowing personal ambitions to divide the party.
