Unilever Ghana Limited has extended its support to the victims of the Akosombo Dam Spillage in Mepe, North Tongu District, by donating various products and relief items.
The donation includes 500 branded Annapunna bowls, 500 Geisha exercise books, Geisha-branded pens, mugs, face towels, Pepsodent toothpaste, 10 IBC water tanks, and a water purification machine, among other items.
Henry Herbert Malm, the Head of Communications and Sustainability at Unilever Ghana PLC, emphasized the company’s dedication to enhancing the health, well-being, and hygiene of the people they serve.
He expressed concern for the livelihoods lost due to the spillage and the potential for disease outbreaks in the affected area, underscoring Unilever’s intervention through this donation.
