Aspiring presidential candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Hon. Ken Ohene Agyapong, has made a pledge to ensure that the Volta River Authority (VRA) compensates the victims of the Akosombo Dam spillage in the Volta River.

He expressed his commitment to take all necessary steps to facilitate immediate compensation for the displaced victims.

In a demonstration of sympathy and support, Hon. Kennedy Agyapong personally donated GH₵100,000.00 Cedis and relief items to the affected communities.

The Mepe and other surrounding communities that were impacted by the flooding following the spillage of the Akosombo Dam received these relief items from the business magnate and aspiring presidential candidate.

He led his team in providing relief items to the affected communities in Central, South, North Tongu, and Keta constituencies.

The donated items included 300 bags of 50kg rice, 300 packs of bottled water, 50 first aid kits, and an amount of 100,000.00 Ghanaian cedis.

Hon. Ken Agyapong is known for his philanthropic efforts and has a strong history of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

The Queen Mother of Mepe Traditional Area, Mamaga Adzo Sreku V, expressed her profound gratitude to Hon. Kennedy Agyapong for his support.
