An Accra High Court has rescinded its previous injunction order, which had temporarily halted the final funeral rites of the late Ga Manye, Naa Dedei Omaedru III.

The court stated that the initial injunction order was issued in error.

The funeral had faced complications when certain family heads secured an injunction against it, preventing the organizers from proceeding with the funeral for a period of ten days.

Their claim was that they had been excluded from the entire funeral arrangement, leading them to seek the injunction.

However, following a legal challenge to the injunction order by Ayikoi Otoo, the lawyer representing the Ga Traditional Council, the court has reversed its decision.

This reversal means that the funeral will now proceed as originally planned.
