Ghanaians have received advice on the importance of prioritizing health checkups despite financial constraints.
The counsel comes from Jerry John Quarshie, an assembly member hopeful for the Bintu Electoral Area in the Ablekuma North constituency.
He made this statement during an event organized by his J.J Quarshie Foundation in collaboration with the Health Belt Foundation as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The event featured free health screenings for breast cancer and other health conditions such as hypertension, malaria, diabetes, hepatitis, and eye tests.
Jerry John Quarshie emphasized the significance of saving money for regular medical checkups, ideally at least once a year, if not every six months.
He expressed his commitment to working with corporate bodies to organize periodic health screenings when given the opportunity to lead as an assembly member.
Beneficiaries of the health screening event expressed their gratitude to the assembly member aspirant for his thoughtful gesture.
Jerry John Quarshie’s initiative serves as a reminder of the importance of accessible healthcare services and regular checkups for the well-being of communities.
