The St. John Choir at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Adjen Kotoku was officially inaugurated with the theme “Sing to God, A New Song” (Psalm 149:1). Mr. Ellom Daniel, the newly elected president of the choir, extended an open invitation to anyone interested in providing support, whether financial or otherwise.
Mr. Ellom Daniel shared that he had been involved in previous attempts to establish a church choir since 2009.
He expressed his determination to realize this vision and discussed the initial challenges they faced. Despite these challenges, he remained optimistic that the choir would prosper as long as they followed the guidance of their choir masters and directors.
Choir master John Kwesi of St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Adjen Kotoku also reflected on the choir’s early days, emphasizing the importance of adhering to their choir masters’ guidance.
Reverend Father Sylvester Segbawu advised the choir members to treat each other equally and focus on serving God rather than seeking to impress human beings.
He encouraged the choir to concentrate on their songs without competing against each other. Smiles and positive attitudes during performances, he suggested, would attract more people to join the choir and usher in blessings.
Reverend Father Sylvester Segbawu offered his congratulations to all the choir members, masters, and directors of the newly formed St. Peter’s Catholic Church choir in Adjen Kotoku.
