Government should be proactive in solving spillage from the Akosombo Dam- General Overseer, The Lord’s Pentecostal Church International

The General Overseer of The Lord’s Pentecostal Church International, Apostle Eric Anim Essandoh Otoo has called on central government to urgently take proactive measures to remedy the unfortunate disaster ongoing in Volta, Eastern and parts of Greater Accra region as a result of water spillage from the Akosombo Dam.

According to the man, the situation was avoidable, if the engineers from VRA had taken time to monitor the rain pattern, the spillage wouldn’t have caused much problem like want is being witnessed in the country.

He expressed that, some members of The Lord’s Pentecostal Church International, in Asutuare, Volivo, Mepe and other areas have also been affected. As a result, their farmlands and other properties have been lost. Owing to that, he has instructed some Pastors to immediately asses the situation and provide the needed assistance.

Apostle Eric Anim Essandoh Otoo also indicated that, The Lord’s Pentecostal Church International is joining the Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council to provide some relief items to all affected victims in this disaster.

He made this known in his address, at the 62nd General Conference at Ashaiman Central branch, the conference is expected to end on Sunday 22nd October, 2023.

Chairman of Council of Elders, Apostle Richard Buafour, also shred light on the theme for the 62nd Conference, “Building Godly Family” Genesis 18:19 he said, it is important to build Godly families to make society better, in view of that, he tasked men to take full control of their homes, they should lead by example.

Apostle Richard Buafour, also encouraged single parents not to give up in bringing up Godly children, he admonished all Christians to practice constant prayer, worship and accepting mistakes, especially when parents go against their children in a wrong way, parents should try to apologize for peace to reign.

Apostle Richard Buafour, also encouraged Ghanaians to uphold family values such as truth, honesty, service, love and sharing, by so doing social vices would be reduced. He stated that, these elements will prepare the next generation for a better life.

Apostle Richard Buafour, also happens to be the immediate past General Overseer of The Lord’s Pentecostal Church International, he served for 15 years.
