The Majority Leader, Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, has appealed to the leadership of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to exert every effort to bring Alan Kyerematen back to the party.
He emphasized that Alan Kyerematen is an invaluable asset to the NPP and should not be allowed to depart.
The Minister for Parliamentary Affairs further urged all discussions regarding Kyerematen’s resignation from the party to cease.
He argued that if this is not done, the process of reconciliation will become increasingly challenging.
Alan Kyerematen had previously resigned from the governing NPP, citing ill-treatment, and declared his intention to run as an independent candidate in Ghana’s 2024 presidential election.
