Traders located at Racecourse, Bantama, and Suame in Kumasi have clarified that they are not affiliated with any group of traders in Kumasi who recently declared their support for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in the upcoming presidential primaries of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) scheduled for November 4, 2023.

Representatives of these traders, speaking on behalf of their leader, Nana Kyeiwaa, stated that they were unaware of any press conference organized by a group of traders in Kumasi, and they urged the public to disregard any reports claiming that Racecourse traders had declared their support for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

The traders expressed their grievances regarding poor road networks and inadequate infrastructure at the Racecourse market, which has adversely affected their businesses for several years.

They emphasized their commitment to the NPP as a party but clarified that they do not endorse any specific individual candidate.
