Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly vows to enforce tricycle restriction in CBD

The Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) has emphasized its commitment to enforcing the directive that restricts tricycles from operating within the Central Business District (CBD) of Kumasi.

Tricycle operators found operating in these restricted areas are subject to a fine of GH¢300, and the KMA reports a high level of compliance with these regulations.

Henrietta Afia Konadu Aboagye, the Public Relations Officer of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly, stated that the assembly is intensifying efforts to ensure that all individuals who violate these regulations face appropriate sanctions.

Additionally, the KMA has initiated a review exercise to assess the overall effectiveness of reorganizing transportation in the metropolis.
