Chairman Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, who serves as the Ashanti Region Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), warned Kennedy Agyapong to stop making threats and derogatory comments about party members.
Chairman Wontumi expressed concern over the tone and content of Kennedy Agyapong’s statements, urging him to cease such behavior.
In response to Chairman Wontumi’s warning, Kennedy Agyapong’s spokesperson, William Kusi, challenged Chairman Wontumi’s authority to make arrests and criticized him for allegedly slapping another party member, Collins Owusu Amankwa.
William Kusi also objected to Chairman Wontumi’s mention of the deceased journalist Ahmed Hussein-Suale, stating that Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia should be consulted regarding investigations into such matters.
