A group of individuals known as the Ghana Football Stakeholders Forum staged a demonstration at the premises of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) in Accra.
The protesters marched to the GFA’s office and presented a petition to the Association as well as the Minister of Youth and Sports.
The demonstration was organized to express their dissatisfaction with the current leadership of Kurt Okraku and the state of football under his administration.
The protesters raised concerns about the poor performance of Ghana’s national teams in various tournaments, citing examples such as the FIFA World Cup and the African Cup of Nations, where the national teams were eliminated at early stages of the competitions.
Additionally, the group expressed discontent with the disqualification of George Afriyie, who was planning to contest the GFA presidency in the upcoming elections.
Micky Charles, one of the leaders of the demonstration, addressed the press during the protest.
