Residents of Ashaiman have taken to the streets to express their frustration over the deplorable state of the roads in the municipality.
Despite early morning showers, residents defied the weather to protest against what they perceive as empty promises from the government to repair the roads.
The protesters were denied access to certain parts of Ashaiman with bad roads, prompting them to block the Ashaiman traffic intersection.
This intersection connects Ashaiman to various areas, including Tema, Adjei Kojo, the Oyibi-Somanya road, and the Ashaiman roundabout that links Ashaiman to the Tema-Akosombo highway.
The residents have called on the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the area, Albert Boakye Okyere, to urgently initiate road improvement projects.
