Residents of Ntunkumso in the Sekyere East District of the Ashanti region are expressing their distress over the appalling condition of the road that connects their town to neighboring areas, particularly the district capital, Effiduase-Asokore.
In conversations with the media, several residents have voiced their strong dissatisfaction with the substandard work performed by the contractor responsible for the road construction.
As a result, they are making a heartfelt appeal to their District Chief Executive, Hon. Osei Adiyia, and their Member of Parliament, Hon. Nana Ayew Afriye, urging them to utilize their positions and influence to compel the contractor, who has abandoned the project, to return and complete the road for the benefit of the community.
During an interview with newsmen, residents of Ntunkumso shared their concerns and frustrations regarding the state of the road. They said the abandoned road has affected their daily activities immensely and are appealing to the government for immediate intervention.
