Ghanaians have become negligent when it comes to basic sanitation rules- Hon. Francis Asenso-Boakye

The Minister of Works and Housing, as well as the Member of Parliament for Bantama, Hon. Francis Asenso-Boakye, has attributed the increase in flooding to the failure of Ghanaians to adhere to simple instructions regarding proper sanitation.

During the 50th-anniversary commemoration of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Bantama, Mr. Okyem Aboagye emphasized that Ghanaians have become negligent when it comes to basic sanitation rules, often disposing of rubbish in drains without restraint.

He noted that while the government is making substantial investments to prevent flooding in Ghana, the problem could be significantly reduced if Ghanaians change their behaviors and practice proper sanitation methods.

In this regard, he urged citizens to keep their surroundings clean and refrain from disposing of waste in drains.
