Vice President and NPP flag bearer hopeful, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, paid a visit to the Awutu Senya East (Kasoa) Electoral Commission (EC) office.

During his visit, he engaged with the EC officer, Dominic Agbanu, to gather information about the ongoing voter registration process.

Dr. Bawumia inquired about the expected number of people the EC aims to register, the total number of registrants processed so far, and the major challenges encountered during the registration exercise.

He took the opportunity to express his gratitude to the registrants for their commitment and patience throughout the registration process, acknowledging the effort it takes to leave daily activities and queue for hours to obtain a Voters Identification Card.

Dr. Bawumia encouraged the registrants to stay focused, exercise patience, and complete the registration process to ensure their eligibility to vote in the upcoming 2024 general elections.

Dominic Agbanu, the EC officer, reported that they initially faced connectivity challenges but those have been resolved.

He also mentioned that they have been registering over 400 people daily for approximately five days now.
