Vice President and Flagbearer Aspirant for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has reiterated his commitment to implementing a bold policy known as the “One Constituency, Ten Appointments” if he is elected as the flagbearer and subsequently becomes president of Ghana.
This announcement was made during an interactive session with delegates in the Asunafo South constituency of the Ahafo region, as part of Dr. Bawumia’s two-day campaign tour in the region leading up to the November 4 polls.
Under the “One Constituency, Ten Appointments” policy, all 275 constituencies across Ghana would have the opportunity to be represented on various government boards and agencies.
Dr. Bawumia explained that this policy was designed to address the concerns of constituents who have often felt ignored when it came to government appointments.
He emphasized that historically, successive governments had frequently overlooked constituencies when making appointments, and this had led to dissatisfaction among constituents.
Dr. Bawumia’s policy aims to rectify this by ensuring that each constituency is directly represented in government decision-making bodies.
