John Mahama pledges to complete unfinished projects, emphasizes unity at Zongo Caucus Forum

Former President and the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, has vowed to complete all unfinished projects, including those initiated by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government if elected in 2024.

He emphasized the NDC’s commitment to continuity and responsible governance during a gathering of the NDC Greater Accra Regional Zongo Caucus Stakeholders Forum in Accra.

Addressing attendees, which included representatives from various Zongo and Muslim communities, as well as institutions within and outside the party, Mahama underscored the importance of carrying forward projects that have a positive impact on the lives of the people, regardless of the party that initiated them.

The former President accused the current administration of neglecting landmark projects, particularly in Zongo communities, which the NDC had started before leaving office in 2016.

He stressed that the NDC was a patriotic and well-meaning political party that believed in the spirit of continuity and was determined not to waste the resources of taxpayers.

Mahama also took the opportunity to call for unity among party members as the 2024 general elections approach.

He emphasized the need for cohesion within the NDC to effectively challenge the incumbent government and present a strong and united front to voters.
