Today, August, 2023, the National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Stephen Ayesu Ntim, addressed a press briefing at the National Headquarters to unveil a new membership dues system approved by the National Council (NC) of the party.
The system, according to him, aims to restructure membership dues to enhance the party’s financial position, bolster membership recruitment, and improve the welfare of party members.
The decision to revamp the membership dues was made during the NC meeting on July 20, 2023, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the NPP and ensure its sustainable growth.
In his statement, Mr. Stephen Ayesu Ntim stressed the significance of members in good standing, emphasizing that the payment of dues and contributions were crucial to supporting the party’s operations and development.
The new membership dues system offers more convenience, transparency, and efficiency. Utilizing an innovative in-built technology, party members can now conveniently pay their dues by dialing 920270# and following the prompts.
The new dues structure is categorized as follows:
- Bronze category – ₵2.00 per month
- Silver Category – ₵5.00 per month
- Gold Category – ₵8.00 per month
- Platinum Category – ₵10.00 per month
He added that the party’s constitution allows for the designation of Patrons, who are individual members contributing substantially to the party’s progress at various levels—from the constituency to the national level. The platform also facilitates the collection of contributions from all patrons at each level.
Mr. Ntim stressed that the Party plans to encourage and reward members who diligently pay their dues, and to introduce benefits, which will be communicated to the public in due course.
The National Chairman appealed to the media to lend massive support to the party’s efforts to create awareness and sensitize members about the new dues payment system.
