There have been several reports of a serious conflict that erupted between two families at Teshie Maamli in the Greater Accra Region, resulting in the destruction of properties and severe physical assaults on individuals.

The situation escalated to the extent that houses were set ablaze during the fights, causing fear and panic among the residents.

As of now, the exact cause of the disturbances remains unclear, leaving the community in a state of uncertainty and tension. The incident occurred this morning, and the intensity of the clashes has forced residents of Teshie Maamli to flee their homes, seeking safety elsewhere.

According to Nii Darko, the resident who witnessed the incident, the conflict between the two families in Teshie Maamli can be traced back to long-standing tensions related to chieftaincy issues.

According to him, the families have a history of disputes revolving around the chieftaincy matters, and this recent fight has emerged as a result of these unresolved tensions.
