The Assembly Member of Abore Ebom Electoral Area in the Amansie West District of the Ashanti Region, Hon. Elder Asare Brew, organized an Awards and Appreciation Ceremony to recognize the contributions of hardworking government workers in the district.

The event aimed to promote quality education, health, and security in the area.

Over 112 government workers, including long-serving teachers, best teachers, best Kindergarten Teachers in the District, the District Health Director, and the Manso Nkwanta Police Commander, were honored during the ceremony.

The awardees received items such as 32-inch television sets, certificates, and gas cylinders as tokens of appreciation.

Hon. Brew emphasized the crucial role and sacrifices of teachers in society and underscored the need to appreciate their efforts. The program, themed “Honoring Our Agents of Holistic Transaction,” was attended by high-profile dignitaries from within and outside the area.

In an interview with the media after the presentation, Hon. Elder Asare Brew, who also serves as the Constituency Secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party and NADMO Coordinator in Manso Nkwanta Constituency, expressed his admiration for teachers’ contributions to the country’s development.

He mentioned that the special presentation to teachers in the area fulfilled his dream as an Assembly Member to show appreciation for their dedicated work in the education sector.

Hon. Brew acknowledged the challenges faced by teachers in the area, such as accommodation issues and the state of school classroom blocks. He assured that they are in discussions with the district assembly to provide support with infrastructure.

Mr. Robbert Osei, popularly known as Atulupeepe, who also received the award on behalf of the awardees, thanked Hon. Elder Asare Brew, the Assembly Member, for the gesture.

He used the opportunity to call on Ghanaians to honor their heroes while they are still alive and not wait to eulogize them only after they have passed away.
