The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has stated that it will resist any attempt by the Electoral Commission (EC) to manipulate the 2024 elections.

The NDC has raised concerns over the EC’s alleged plan to use the Ghana Card as the only source document for voter registration.

During a Tertiary Education Institutions Network (TEIN) event at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, the NDC flagbearer and former president, John Dramani Mahama, expressed his party’s determination not to be cheated.

He emphasized that the NDC will prevent any sinister plot by the EC to manipulate the outcome of the elections.

Mahama criticized the EC’s insistence on the Ghana Card as the only means of registration, stating that it makes it difficult for sections of the population to have their names on the voter register.

The NDC has previously accused the EC of scheming to rig the polls.
