Chief of Amoa-Apagya accuses Afigya Kwabere South District Assembly of neglect and political bias

The Chief of Amoa-Apagya, Nana Owusu Peprah II, has accused the Afigya Kwabere South District Assembly of neglecting the development of the Apagya Community due to its political affiliation with the opposition party, National Democratic Congress (NDC).

According to the Chief, while other communities in the Afigya Kwabere South District have received street lights from the District Assembly, Apagya Community has been excluded.

He further stated that all the developmental projects in Apagya, such as the police station, health center, and market, have been undertaken by himself and his people without the support of the District Assembly or government.

Nana Owusu Peprah II made these remarks during a media interaction when the Bisland Charity Foundation donated a 200 KVA Transformer to support electricity extension in Apagya and inaugurated the Apagya market.

The chief expressed his gratitude to the foundation for their generous gesture.

Mr. James Donkor Junior, the president of the Bisland Charity Foundation, mentioned that the project is part of the foundation’s corporate social responsibility.
