A delegation comprising Branch, Constituency, Regional, and National Executives of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and Members of Parliament accompanied the victorious Member of Parliament for Assin North, Hon. James Gyakye Quayson, on a thanksgiving tour to various churches in Assin Breku.
The tour was organized to express gratitude for the resounding victory in the recent by-election.
Led by the NDC’s 2020 Vice Presidential Candidate, Prof. Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang, the delegation visited the S.D.A Church, El Shaddai Seventh Day Church, and the Savior Church. They offered prayers of thanks to God for the successful outcome of the by-election.
During the tour, the team also visited twenty-six party members who were injured in a tragic accident at Dansame during the run-up to the by-election. They also extended their condolences to the family of the NDC member who lost her life in the unfortunate accident.
As a gesture of support, each of the twenty-six injured party members received a token of GHS500 to assist with their feeding and transportation to the hospital.
In his address, the re-elected Member of Parliament, Hon. James Gyakye Quayson, assured the injured persons of his continuous support.
He pledged to visit them in the coming days and outlined plans to establish a sustainable financial assistance scheme for their ongoing recovery and well-being.
