In a press briefing today, July 6, 2023, Osei Bonsu Amoah, the Spokesperson for the Vetting Committee of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and Member of Parliament for Akuapem North Constituency, announced the completion of the vetting process for the NPP presidential aspirants.

Amoah highlighted the key attributes that were assessed during the vetting process, including the aspirants’ good standing within the party, a minimum of 5 years of membership, and positive attitudinal traits.

He mentioned that each aspirant was subjected to fair questioning, tailored to their specific circumstances.

Mr. Amoah further explained that the results of the vetting would be forwarded to the party’s board for further review and decision-making.

He clarified that if an aspirant is not approved by the Vetting Committee, they have a window of 42 hours to appeal the decision to the party’s executives.
