Fredrick Forson, the Convener for the Aggrieved Customers of Menzgold, has stated that they will wait until July 27th, 2023, before making their intentions clear regarding their locked-up funds.
The group recently visited Parliament to remind the legislators of their situation and to petition the Speaker, Rt. Hon Alban Kingsford, to assist them in recovering their investments with the now-defunct Menzgold company.
During their visit, a ten-member delegation expressed their concerns about the impact of Menzgold’s closure on customers and their families, emphasizing that the banking sector cleanup did not alleviate their predicament.
The aggrieved customers firmly believe that the government should take responsibility and reimburse them for their losses.
In an interview with Agya-Wusu Ansah on Hot FM, Fredrick Forson shared that they will decide on their next course of action after the specified date.
He pointed out that the group’s aim is to seek justice and recover their funds, and they will continue to engage with relevant authorities and stakeholders to achieve this objective.
