Clergy urged to be politically neutral on pulpit- Apostle Dr. Peter Wilson

Apostle Dr. Peter Wilson, the President of Living Faith Theological Seminary in Kumasi, has advised his fellow clergy in the country not to declare their political affiliations to their church members from the pulpit.

He emphasized that when pastors use their pulpit to endorse a particular political party, it indicates that they have deviated from their primary responsibilities and the path of objectivity.

According to Apostle Dr. Peter Wilson, when the pulpit is misused to gain political favor, it can lead to division among church members who may belong to different political parties.

This division can result in anger and even cause some members to leave the church.

He also took the opportunity to call on political leaders to openly declare their stance on LGBTQ+ issues so that Ghanaians can have peace of mind and clarity.

During an interview with Simon Opoku Afriyie, a news reporter from Otec FM, at the launch of the Silver Jubilee of Living Faith Theological Seminary in Kumasi, Apostle Dr. Peter Wilson expressed his vision for the school.

He mentioned that their aim is to establish a theological university that will serve the entire West Africa region.

Furthermore, he urged Ghanaians not to condemn all pastors due to the actions of a few fake ones. He emphasized that there are genuine pastors who are tirelessly working for God and the country.
