ANANPOSE attributes NPP’s defeat in Assin North to Dr. Bawumia’s arrogance

The Association of NPP National Polling Station Executives (ANANPOSE) has attributed the defeat of the NPP in the Assin North by-election to what they perceive as needless arrogance and abuse of power by Dr. Bawumia.

They believe that these factors played a role in alienating voters and negatively impacting the party’s performance in the election.

According to a satement which was released by the Association, Dr. Bawumia and his team disrespected and made his fellow contender, Alan Kyeremanteng look ridiculous on stage when he was climbing onto the podium to take his seat.

The notice added that “Dr. Bawumia intentionally used the front entry through the crowd with an insulting background song by Kwame Yogot ft. Kwame Eugene while Alan Kyeremanteng was still on his feet delivering his speech.”

This, according to the notice, “looked down on Alan Kyeremanteng” and other aspirants thus, angered many NPP supporters.

“This singular arrogant action of Dr. Bawumia which was intended to undermine and ridicule a fellow aspirant and in furtherance look down on all other aspirants, as a result, infuriated passion and angered many supporters of the NPP across the Constituency,” the notice stated.

The Association, through the statement, advised all aspirants to act maturely in their campaign as has been observed of Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto and Mr. Boakye Agyarko.
