Western North Regional National Ambulance Service appeals for increased staff enrollment

Frederick James Hackman, the Western North Regional Manager of the National Ambulance Service (NAS), has called on the government to boost staff enrollment in order to improve the efficiency of emergency healthcare services, particularly in the region.

He revealed that the current staff coverage only caters to less than 12% of the population in the region, whereas it should ideally be between 30% and 70%.

This shortage, according to him, poses a significant challenge in providing timely and effective emergency care.

Mr. Hackman highlighted the issue of poor road conditions, especially in areas like Sefwi Akontombra and Dadieso, which further complicates their service delivery.

He assured all residents of the Western North Region that the NAS is dedicated to serving humanity with dignity and a genuine concern for human life.

He urged the public to remain hopeful and calm during emergency situations, emphasizing that the presence of the National Ambulance Service is aimed at saving lives and preparing victims for smooth treatment by medical professionals.

Mr. Hackman requested the cooperation of all residents, emphasizing that any delays in their response are unintentional, and their primary goal is to provide prompt and efficient emergency care to those in need.
